Voxwire Launches Its Web-Conferencing Technology
January 21, 2003
For Immediate Release
Voxwire Systems, Inc. has announced that it is making its
pc-to-pc web conferencing technology available to the public
beginning January 21, 2003. After a year of testing with over
300 beta clients using the product for online meetings and
large conferences with over 500 participants, the company has
opened
its internet
doors to global customers.
Voxwire provides unlimited web conferencing with crystal-clear
voice quality. The basic product is an online Group Room that
accommodates up to 10 people at a time for $29.95 per month.
Unlimited capacity upgrades are available for half the cost
per user. There is no charge for guests who enter by clicking
on a URL which activates a quick automatic download.
There are three integrated components to the Voxwire MeetingRoom™.
Participants can talk, text chat, and co-browse at the same
time. Therefore, presenters can "show and tell" while
the text chat can be used for Q&A.
Steve Divnick, VP of Marketing reports, "Our primary
customers are businesses, institutions, and local government
agencies, who use the product for sales, training, and project
collaboration. It is popular for board meetings, online learning
programs, and connecting geographically-distant offices." The
voice capability dramatically reduces long-distance telephone
expenses, especially for global businesses.
Until this new technology
became available, companies have had to wait to schedule meetings
until there was sufficient
content to justify the cost of time and travel. But Voxwire
is changing the way people communicate. Now, at the click of
a button, an issue can be presented and discussed by everyone
involved from anywhere in the world during its most critical
stage…while the issue is current. Collaboration on projects,
training, one-on-one sales and customer service is unlimited.
Out-of-office lost productivity is minimized, long distance
telephone costs are cut, travel and lodging budgets are reduced,
output and performance is accelerated, and profits are increased.
When combined with flight expenses, hotel accommodations,
car rentals, meals and refreshments, a typical 100-person meeting
can easily reach costs of over $100,000. And that does not
include the out-of-office lost productivity or the risks and
hassles of today's travel environment. A 100-user monthly Voxwire
Room costs only $165 and can be used all day long every day!
The co-browsing feature makes it even easier to share information
and conduct training than in a physical meeting which requires
expensive packets and has numerous distractions.
Customers
can purchase Rooms using their credit card and customize them
with their name and welcome message using a simple configuration
panel. The Rooms are ready for use immediately. Room owners
can modify their Rooms at any time with a simple online Configuration
Panel. Modifications include, but are not limited to the Room
Name, the screen guests see when they enter, the greeting message,
allowing or disallowing text or voice, and much more.
Divnick
adds, "As Voxwire continues to be discovered,
we believe that companies that integrate this technology into
their communication systems will have a distinct advantage
over their competitors. Whenever face-to-face meetings are
not required, we want Voxwire to become the meeting place for
today's business communication needs."
