Live Meetings

The cost of live meetings is very high and rising with no end in sight. Travel, car rental, lodging, meeting room cost, refreshments, evening entertainment, and printed handouts can easily run over $1,500 per person for a single meeting. Online Competition

Referring specifically to Webex, Placeware, and other enterprise products offering web conferencing and online meetings, Robin Good says, "Providing Web conferencing facilities while forcing users to utilize a separate and un-integrated technology at very expensive long-distance rates seems to be a strategy that is not going to work effectively for long."
